Aoife & Conor celebrated their Bellinter House Wedding this September after postponing last year and had such an amazing day with their family and friends! It was so worth the wait!
The couple met through mutual friends when they were only sixteen and seventeen and have been together ever since! You know what they say: when you know, you know…
They fell in love with Bellinter on the first drive through the gates. The award-winning wedding venue sits on the south bank of the River Boyne and it’s located only 30 minutes from Dublin. It’s also a short drive away from Navan and Trim. It hosts weddings up to 160 guests with accommodation onsite for up to 100 guests.
Bridal Prep at home
Aoife got ready at her family home, with her mother and bridesmaids. We love how the house was all decorated for the morning. There were so many beautiful details everywhere to make the morning extra special for her! The bride’s dad sadly passed away a few years ago and Aoife included a locket in her bouquet to have him with her while she walked down the aisle. Such a sweet touch!
Bellinter House Wedding Ceremony
The couple had planned a ceremony outdoors in front of the iconic weeping beach tree in the front lawn at Bellinter but unfortunately the weather didn’t help. It had rained the morning of the wedding and so they had a ceremony in the beautiful Nunnery Suite instead.
Aoife’s grandad walked her half way down the aisle and her godfather gave her away to Conor. It was beautiful to witness the emotion in Conor’s eyes as Aoife walked towards him.
The couple chose to have a sand ceremony with the help of their gorgeous son. Naturally some sand ended up on the floor instead of the jar but they still managed to make a beautiful family keepsake to display in their home. They also made personal vows for each other which brought tears to everyone’s eyes.
Drinks Reception and Dinner at Bellinter
Not only the grounds at Bellinter are gorgeous but the 18th Georgian Manor also has stunning rooms, with modern art and carefully chosen objects to create a really unique ambience that guests can enjoy during the drinks reception. There’s also an outdoor area at the back of the house where guests can relax and have a chat or play chess.
The Refectory Suite looked stunning for dinner. Aoife put a lot of effort into the decoration of the space, with a showstopper cake table featuring five gorgeous cakes by the Dublin Cake Company. All the guests were raving about it.
The couple opted to have their wedding speeches before the dinner was served. Bellinter’s excellence also extends to food, as they have won two AA-Rosette Awards. Needless to say the food was gorgeous.
Bellinter House Wedding Photos at Night
The weeping beach tree is really beautiful, all lit up at night. We couldn’t leave without taking the opportunity to do some nighttime photos and create some magic with Aoife & Conor. It was the perfect way to end a wonderful day.
Kind Words:
“The photos are absolutely stunning! We are so so happy with them and can’t believe it’s actually us in the photos. Lots of people want to frame the one of us under the three and said you could sell it in a shop! So many guests complimented you and your skills on the day. We honestly couldn’t be happier! Everything was phenomenal!”.
