Without a doubt there are so many beautifulvenues in Dublinand all around the country that would be great choices for a garden wedding in Ireland. For Audrey and Simon, his family home, an amazing property calledCahernorry Church and Gardens was the perfect choice!Their fun-filled festival style garden wedding is an amazing source of inspiration for any couples planning to have a big or small garden celebration. True to their style Simon and Audrey planned a day to be remembered by all of their guests!
Morning preparations
While Audrey was getting ready at 3 Pery Square, Simon and his family were making sure everything was perfect for the day ahead. Restored by Simon’s father, designerDes Kingston, the property is full of wonderful little corners. Handwritten signs and floral arrangements in coloured bottles added an extra special touch for their relaxed garden wedding celebration.
Garden Wedding Ceremony
Their humanist ceremony happened in a stone circle in the garden, under a rustic arbour done by the couple. Audrey looked stunning wearing a gorgeous dress with golden sequins and a vintage hair piece. Her mother and father giving her away to Simon was a beautiful moment.
Guests stood around them to witness all the lovely readings and the hand fasting, symbolising the binding of their lives. At the end the couple was showered with confetti.
Garden Wedding Reception
During the reception, guests could be found exploring all the fascinating corners: there was a photo booth inside an old car and also a hidden ‘sweet fountain’ with lots of treats, that could be found by following signs. We love how they used an old bathtub as a cooler for drinks.
For the couple’s photos we did a little tour of the gardens. What a job Des has done on this property! With 20 years of hard work and a lot of creativity he created one of the most unique places we have ever seen. We were spoiled for choice!
Marshmallows and Chats by the Fire Pit
After the speeches and dinner at the marquee, the couple surprised their guests with an ice cream truck. Needless to say everyone loved it, especially the kids! While some of the guests enjoyed the dance floor, others sat by the fire pit enjoying some marshmallows, having drinks and chatting the night away. What a day!
In order to provide the attention our couples deserve, we deliberately limit the number of weddings we accept each year. If you want to know more about our work and availability, please get in touch. We would love to know more about your and what you’re dreaming for your wedding day!
